One to Watch in 2011 pt. 1 – REDLIGHT

Bristolian Redlight aka Clipz (that dnb producer who came out with jokes tunes such as Loud and Dirty, Ugly and Give It To Me) is one of my producers that I think you should look out for in 2011. Having released tunes on Digital Soundboy and MTA Record, he is being praised and supported by the likes of Rusko, Shy FX, Skream, Mistajam and of course yours truly Brown Bear (I averagely drop 3 or 4 Redlight tunes in any given live set and they are literal dancefloor killers.)

His sound is unique to him, a mixture of UK Funky, Electro and Dubstep with sleazy basslines which you can only one leg skank to. If one of his tunes drops at a rave and you aint going in hard, then you might aswell go home because you are fucking boring my friend!

Mz Bratt – Selecta (Prod. by Redlight)

2010 was already a successful year with an EP release (The Lobster Boy) and underground smasher ‘MDMA’ which was the ridiculous beat for Ms. Dynamite’s ‘What You Talkin About?’. —–>2011 looks much larger for Redlight, as his collaboration with Toddla T (Roller Express) gains momentum, and some big releases over the horizon (Source 16/Planet X) plus a slot on the highly respected Rinse FM, you are definitely in for more from this guy.

Here’s a download link to showcase some of his brilliance on one of the biggest grime tunes of 2009:Β Breakage ft Newham Generals – Hard (Redlight Remix)

Catch Redlight at Hospitality on the 29th of January in Birmingham…It’s the main reason I am going (along with Breakage)
